Brian Singson
Born to Filipino immigrant parents, Brian Singson’s journey is one of resilience, focus, and heart. Growing up in a close-knit household in Scarborough, Ontario, he was surrounded by family—two aunts, two cousins, and his parents—who instilled in him the values of humility, hard work, and perseverance. Though he was an only child, Brian learned early what it meant to be part of something larger than himself.
At 16, after enduring years of childhood bullying, Brian walked into a Muay Thai gym in search of confidence and discipline. What began as self-defence quickly became a calling. Under the guidance of Canadian IFMA Gold Medalist Kru Yai Mikey Perez at Southside Muay Thai, Brian found not only a sport but a lifelong community.
He dedicated himself to mastering the art, competing in exhibitions to build experience before entering major tournaments. His talent and drive soon began to shine through, with a competitive résumé that reflects both growth and grit:
2013: Junior TBA Muay Thai Lightweight Champion
2019: Muay Thai Ontario Provincial Bronze Medalist
2022: TBA Men’s A-Class Light Middleweight Champion
2023: CMTO (Canadian Muay Thai Open) A-Class 71kg Champion and Top Male Athlete Performance
2024: Muay Thai Ontario 71kg Champion
2025: Represented Team Canada at IFMA Worlds in Turkey (1–1 record)
Now with an amateur record of 13–4–1 (plus 10 exhibitions) and a professional debut victory by TKO at Bangkok’s legendary Rajadamnern Stadium, Brian’s career continues to ascend.
Beyond his accolades, Brian has emerged as a leader and mentor in the Muay Thai community. As captain of the Southside Muay Thai Fight Team (2021–2024), he’s guided countless young fighters—helping them find strength, purpose, and confidence through the sport that transformed his own life.
Brian’s commitment extends beyond personal glory; it’s about representation, community, and legacy. From local bouts to international competitions, including a win against Mexico under the Nai Khanom Tom Association, he carries both his gym and his community with him every time he steps into the ring.
